Theodosia Burr Goodman was born in 1885. She became Theda Bara and made more than 40 feature films between 1914 and 1926. She died of stomach cancer in 1955 in Los Angeles. Many thought her name was taken from an anagram of "Arab Death". Only 4 of her features films exist, all her others turned to dust.
