Took the day off, then took my pants off...
Today was a pretty great day!
Started off with happy phone calls and silly emails from numerous acquaintances, a lunch meeting at St. Michael's with a friend I haven't seen in quite a while, a Bacardi and Coke with new friends, a meeting about the future of my career, shopping with a coworker where I got the full satisfying feeling of consumerism without actually purchasing one thing, a wave of unbearable lightness suddenly grounded with a bout of food poisoning that lasted until about 10PM, watched Mike Nichols on Inside the Actors Studio, disturbed by knocks at my door by someone looking for someone else, and finished off the day with a video of Robots in Revolt that my friend Steve was involved with at the CNN Headquarters in Hollywood.
