Happy Easter to all my Peeps!
I thought I'd celebrate by watching one of my favorite films, Mario Bava's "Black Sunday!"
This time, I'm listening to Tim Lucas' audio commentary and learning so much about this great film.
One thing I learned is that it's loosely based on the novel by Nikolai Gogol called, "The Viy"
Here's some really great scenes from the 1967 film by K. Ershov and G. Kropachev.
Here's a trailer for a big budget Russian movie remake that looks pretty good.
This Mario Bava movie Rocks! And another thing I learned is that Bava may have shot "Black Sunday" without even having a script. He may have just made it up as he went along.
The World Famous Jerry Lentz
