Been thinking again.
It always comes back around; This thought. Again. But it always seems fresh and possible.
The idea of having a van, or truck with a camper, to drive across this great country of ours making films.
However, with gas being what it is...
My car gets about 40 miles per gallon. It's got a Ten gallon tank. Costs me a chunk to fill it up, but I know others who don't get the mileage I do and they're hurting, too. How are we going to make it? Life is getting too tough?
Are we going to hope on trains like Woody Guthry? Hitchhike like Rudger Hauer?
I passed a couple of young guys the other day thumbing it. I could have picked them up, but how scary is that?
Why does the idea of hiking across Asia or England seem better to me? It's like, vagabonding overseas you're a tourist, vagabonding in the good ole' U. S. and A, you're homeless.
