Bought Andrew Wilson's "Harold Robbins: The Man Who Invented Sex" hoping to learn more about the guy who wrote books my mom read and who sold 750 million copies worldwide during his life.
So far it's great!
I'm only about 28 pages in, but I'm digging it!
I remember being a kid and getting all interested in Howard Hughes, after my mom telling me about the book, "The Carpetbaggers." She'd be reading by her favorite lamp, my dad would be snoring in his bedroom and I would see my mom getting all upset by some sex scene or the way some male character would act in one of Harold Robbins' stories, but she couldn't put the books down.
