I love Monorails!

Ever since I was in Kindergarden and my older brother Darcy showed me a prospectus to company stock he bought for a firm that planned to build Monorails across America, I've dreamed of a Future World where there were Monorails and Jetpacks.

He was in Junior High and they taught kids how to make money in the Stock Market! My school had NRA gun classes! I can't even balance a checkbook, but if I ever go postal and lose it... Well, I'm prepared!

When I lived in Apopka, Florida and doing time at Disney World in Orlando, I would just stand and stare at the Monorails.

My favorite magazine, Make has a cool party coming up where we can see the "Puppy Mover Monorail." It's a working model train composed of five wooden cars, totaling 10'-6" long, and a powerful motorized drive train in the locomotive. The monorail beamway track is made from wood 2x4s.

The Maker Faire is May 19 & 20 at the San Mateo Fairgrounds.

But I might go see Henry Rollins, Thora Birch, Bijou Phillips and the Suicide Girls at the Fangoria Weekend of Horrors convention in Burbank, instead.
