Tornadoes scare me! I was in one in Kansas City when I was a lil' kid and my mother and I were almost killed. Strangely, I've been so fascinated with them as well.

Dreams featuring tornadoes come to me quite a bit.

I was watching the News and saw a story about the one that hit Alabama and saw a town where I used to live. I had to write one of my dearest friends, Jerome Jackson. He and I were roommates. We worked for the same radio station Q-97. We were best friends. He was an Elvis Impersonator!

See for yourself, I'm not kidding!

Jerry:
Jerome, I just heard about the tornadoes. Are you guys okay? Let me know.

Jerome:
Everyone's OK. Mama was driving a school bus at the time, but at a different school in Enterprise. I don't know if I told you, she's a school bus driver now. Sharon, who manages a convenient store in Enterprise, had a close call. Her store sign exploded and she saw a car moved across the parking lot. It's pretty sad. You may remember, that's the high school you and I went to see that talent show. One of the funniest nights of my life. Anyway, last word is that 15 were killed. This morning they're saying 5. My brother in-law is helping with the search... he says they're still students trapped under the rubble. Oh by the way...Sharon said it didn't sound like a train... just a loud roar. So all those rednecks you see in other parts of the country describing their tornado experience don't really know what a train sounds like.

Talk to you soon,

Jerome

The talent show he was talking about has to be the single funniest night of my life! A night filled with kids putting on shows and not knowing where the edge of the stage was. Every act included kids stepping off into the pit. A kid, a younger brother to some performer thought it was so funny he threw up from laughing!

Well, that school was just destroyed by the storm.
