There sure have been a lot of Star Trek shows on TV lately!

Now that Trek has been cancelled, leave it to the History Channel, TV Land, G4, and I believe HGTV to pick up the slack.

There's a pretty good William Shatner show about how technology was influenced by Star Trek, but I waited all day to see a Leonard Nimoy documentary about the props for all the series and it turned out to just be a big infomercial for the Star Trek Christie's auction.

I was listening to an interview with David Mamet the other day and he mentioned his idea of a perfect movie and it was, "Galaxy Quest." He seemed to be serious!

Years ago, before "Galaxy Quest," I had the idea for a book about an alien race that came to earth after all humans had died away and discovered a vault that contained every piece of Star Trek memorabilia leading the aliens to believe this was the record of human life.

Some members of the alien society took these artifacts to be like the Dead Sea Scrolls and because the alien race had evolved without a religion, many incorporated the works into their society.

I was thinking it could be more of a satire, than anything serious.

The History Channel loves UFOs! I can't turn on the channel without there being something on about them. Whenever I look it's either Hitler or UFOs and once there was even a show about Nazi flying saucers!

I have friends of friends that work for the DIY channel and have a show where they make crafts, they're always trying to get me to come up with an idea for a series. I was thinking what a hit a show about making sci-fi, UFO, and monster crafts would be!

I would have hot looking chicks dress like Nazis making UFOs out of paper plates and hubcaps...

...just an idea.
