Whenever I see a Band-aid on the sidewalk, I think it's hurt.
I scrapped myself many times on the sidewalk. Stepped on many a cracks. Stepped on lots of gum. Tripped over dozens of Homeless.
Still, the first thought when I see a Band-aid is someone thought the sidewalk needed it, rather than someone peeled their HIV toxic scab and dropped it, so it could stick to the bottom of my boot and find it's way onto my carpet at home.
I remember eating with a friend when I was about 18 at a burger joint in Alabama, he bit into his cheeseburger, with his teeth and a funny look on his face, he pulled out a Band-aid that was between the cheese and the meat.
He seemed fine, but I completely lost it!
I couldn't deal with that image!
It upset me so much, I even stopped being his friend.
