A few days back I posted a pic of me imitating a popular alien scene in the closing credits of "Star Trek" and a few people pointed out that I looked like the guy from "The Scream" by Edvard Munch!

Norwegian police announced that they had managed to recover 'The Scream' and 'Madonna', two paintings by Edvard Munch that were stolen from a museum in Oslo two years ago.

When I was a kid I was obsessed with his painting, "The Scream" because it could be about anything you want, but I believed it was about scientists hunting down Casper the Friendly Ghost.

Later, I began thinking it was about Men in Black hunting down an alien.

Even later, it occurred to me that it might be that the two figures could be the deadlines (career, success, love, death, hope) that haunt us (the artists) but also it could be the demons one hears whispering behind us helping destroy all we hope to enjoy about our lives.

Then it could just be a dude freaking out on a pier when he sees the girl he knows he should spend the rest of his life with, walk past him with the man she's gonna spend the rest of her life with, and the sound of the waves is deafening because it's a nearly tangible reminder that time is moving and precious and he is frozen in fear at that realization.
