Seems some people are just now realizing I'm leaving for Hollywood.
E-mails and Myspace postings are coming in trying to schedule dinners and get togethers. I'd like to but, I'm not one for sad goodbyes. I would like the free food, though!
A couple of desperate acts of kindness from nice people left a couple of gifts on my front doorstep.
Great! More things to pack.
Aaron's dad also gave me some things like a number one issue of a Dick Tracy comicbook and some bedsheets, both from a time when Hitler was still alive he told me.
There are so many boxes of things I have that I'd like to get rid of... Well, I'd like to keep them if I had a mansion like Charles Foster Kane to store them all, but as much as I move, I hate hauling it all around.
A girl at a grocery store I shop at and who has become a nice friend because one day she pointed out we eat the same deli meat read that I was leaving and on my last purchase from her, she stepped around the conveyer belt and register to give me a kiss. I turned my face to give up my cheek as a target and she grabbed my face and pulled my lips to hers.
Wow!
That was unexpected! I got all Red I guess and the old man in line behind me said, "Oh, I'm moving too!"
We laughed and the girl said, "Only one kiss per shift, boys."
I walked to my car not feeling the weight of my purchase. Seemed I was floating.
