I got some nice Xmas gifts that arrived late!

Someone got me, "SIN-A-RAMA: Sleaze Sex Paperbacks of the Sixties" a really great book about those lurid X-rated paperbacks with titles like Lake of Lust, Casting Couch and Naked Lens!

Several well-known authors are profiled like Donald Westlake, Ed Wood, Lawrence Block, acclaimed SF author Robert Silverberg, whose "My Life as a Pornographer" tells how in 1962 he was "writing four books a month" and earning enough money to buy "a mansion in residential New York City."

A catalogue of "sleaze publishers" one who was based here in quaint Fresno and others in North Hollywood. Looks like I know how to pick good places to live!
