I have to hand it to NBC, they are pretty cool! This whole Live TV thing with "The West Wing" and the debate between presidential candidates Arnold Vinick and Matt Santos moderated by Forrest Sawyer was just great!

Republican Vinick, played by Alan Alda, and Democrat Santos, portrayed by Jimmy Smits, both were great. I don't know who I'd vote for.

It was LIVE and I wish and hope more TV was Live like back in the supposed Golden Age of Television. There is such a neat energy when you know anything could go wrong.

If TV wants to go one further than Reality TV, they could do more Live TV stunts. I would love to see shows that normally couldn't work Live, like "Star Trek" where all the effects had to be done Live. Spaceships would be hung from wires in front of Black velvet and transporter room effects would be like a magician's trick.

NBC is also doing a "Medium" in 3-D!

How about a "CSI" in Scratch n' Sniff?
