Stayed cooped up today with this feeling of being contagious. Only got out for snacks and beverages.
Watched a lot of Tee Vee.
Saw "Antwone Fisher" got all chocked up. Denzel Washington rocks! Anyone see Derek Luke in anything lately? Shouldn't he be the new guy we all love?
AMC isn't the same anymore, but they got a kickass promo for Halloween that's cut to West Indian Girl's "What Are You Afraid Of?" and they've been playing it every Five minutes.
I know I have the CD somewhere, but I needed to hear them so bad. They, like The Shins can also change your life and my life needs a'changin'.
I ran out to B&N to buy it again!
While purchasing it, a cute girl asked the clerk if they had the "Elizabethtown" soundtrack... I had to jump in and say how much I loved that movie.
We talked about "The Road Map" and other things in the film. I saw her later with her boyfriend and they were so cool looking together. He looked like a Rock Star and was about three feet taller than her.
I couldn't wait to get back home and listen to West Indian Girl, but I stopped off at the store to fill up on Klondike bars and while loading up saw a great deal on "Hot Pockets." I bought about Ten boxes.
Emily my clerk said, "Are you gonna eat all these by yourself?"
I wasn't sure why she was asking, but I told her, "Oh no, I'm having a Hot Pocket Party!"
The older couple behind me giggled and looked at each other shaking their heads with that, "Boy, He's a real loser," kind of look.
Home.
I toss my kill into the fridge and slide my music into my PowerBook G4. The disc glides in as smoothly as my eyelids slip across my tears.
West Indian Girl's
"What Are You Afraid Of?"
I lost myself inside someone else
I couldn't see the lines between her and me
On a darker road, the fear I've shown
With eyes of stone, he walks alone
What are you afraid of?
All the years fade away
What are you made of?
From the ties that hold us down
What are you fighting for?
To feel them all
What are you dying for?
To be free
Who tonight will change your life
To jump on a plane and land a
Thousand miles away
Just to see what we came to be
What are you afraid of?
All the years fade away
What are you made of?
From the ties that hold us down
What are you fighting for?
To feel them all
What are you dying for?
To be free
Inside my eyes
There's no chance of losing
When there's no chance at all
As time goes by, I forget why
From a distant view it might still be true
There's a part of me that lives for you.
What are you afraid of?
All the years fade away
What are you made of?
From the ties that hold us down
What are you fighting for?
To feel them all
What are you dying for?
To be free
