Last night I visited Thailand...
Well, actually Thai Town as they call it here.
On Hollywood Boulevard there's a cool place run by a hot looking Thai Lady called, Hollywood Thai. Good name right?
I met my friend Paul and he was so cool he bought my food and drinks. The food was great. There were two girls singing. The place was loud. You could barely hear anything.
Paul's friend John from Disney showed up with his friends and they drank and drank. Then John wanted me to get up and sing, so this drunk Chinese guy jumps up on stage and tells everyone I'm a professional singer. Everybody calls my name, but I didn't know any song they knew that I could sing. But it was fun...
The Thai girls are so cute and nice. It feels weird being Caucasian there, you feel like you're in the military and you're on R&R.
The drink I had was a strong mix, and since I haven't been drinking lately, it went right to my head. This morning I have a lil' headache from it. Or maybe from all the noise in the restaurant.
Paul has a big Basketball game today... We stayed out late... I hope his coach doesn't kick him off the team.
I'm still thinking of going to the movies today, but need to find a film to inspire me. The New Beverly is playing a Stanley Kubrick Double Feature of "Lolita" and "Dr. Strangelove", so I might see those again for fun.
One of my filmmaking heroes, Fred Olen Ray has let it be known that I have credit in his latest masterpiece of cinema, "The Unliving" which may change names. I actually have liked that title since I first heard it, but you know Hollywood. The film has been screened selectively around the world to critics and clergy to calm any fears that it is too intense for the public. The Vatican may still pass on the film. We wait to hear.
I need to continue to get more work in film. It seems to rain and pour work when I get a part I want. There are always conflicts in scheduling. Just not enough hours in the day for me to reach out to all my fans from the silver shadows of cinema or the pixels of digital video.
