I was reading about Bruce Dern, who starred in Alfred Hitchcock's final film "Family Plot," and a situation where Hitchcock got a case of shyness.
Dern said during filming of "Family Plot" in 1976, a young Steven Spielberg appeared on the Universal lot, hoping to meet Hitchcock.
Spielberg, who had made "Jaws" the year before, stood at the back of the soundstage and begged Dern to help him get a 10-minute audience with Hitchcock.
Dern went to Hitchcock, who asked, "Bruce, is that the boy who made the fish movie?"
Dern replied, "Yeah ... He just wants to kind of let you know what a fan he is."
Hitchcock started shaking and said he was too nervous to speak to him because he felt "like such a whore."
When Dern asked why, Hitchcock said, "I'm the voice of a 'Jaws' commercial."
Dern told the anecdote while promoting "A Decade Under the Influence," an upcoming documentary about the 1970s generation of filmmakers.
IFC is really becoming a good channel. I say that in the hopes of getting back on the air... There.
Sizemore faces jail for abusing Fleiss... Guess we won't see him in another War movie for awhile. See, this shows you women like bad boys. I've met Heidi numerous times and we always had a great time, but never got the feeling we could take it to the next level. Course, I was married at the time... But, even so I was just not her type... The abusive type, I guess.
I get e-mails all the time wondering if I get any responses to this site... Yes I do! But, I hardly ever post them cause I don't know how to make it seem non-egotistical... But maybe I'll make a separate blog someday to archive the letters I get.

Reading your news is very entertaining. More if I live very far, in Chile, South America. I like love your sense of humour and how you tell everyday's life things and turn them into something somewhat poetic, somewhat transcendental, and funny.
I imagine (or try to) you in your environment and how you're doing everyday things. My day starts checking emails, reading Chilean news, google news, and then....www.jerrylentz.com the perfect combination to start the day.
So please keep going with the site! I hope a day there's a movie about Jerry Lentz, Soderbergh's style (sorry If you don't like it, I saw full frontal and liked it.....weird).

I liked that one! So there I posted it for you to see I do get nice letters.
I had some very intense dreams last night. I don't remember much yet about what they were, but I woke up... Wide awake! I had the strongest sense that I had completely wasted my life during the years of my marriage. That it had been the biggest mistake ever and I wasted my energies trying to make it work and severely damaged my self image in the process, leaving me depressed and angry at myself. Those years are never coming back to me and I can't erase the memory of them.
I'm a different person now, and I miss who I was and who I could have been.
I must try and start again somehow to create a way to live better.
The World Famous Jerry Lentz
What you are about to become obsessed with is completely true.
