Things have been pretty weird lately...

The El Nino has been like a baptism of the Devil's rain on me. The ether has put its disease in me. I've been very down.

Valentine's Day has a double whammy in for me... My friend Richard Layman died on this day and my X-Wife and I met on the 14th at a screening of "David Holzman's Diary" in Dallas.

These days have been a blur.

My friend Aaron has purchased yet another house, this one actually overlooks two major Hollywood landmarks... Madonna's old house and the dam that burst in the Classic Sensoround Cinema Cheese, "Earthquake".

I was driving in the rain, as is my wont, and this guy in a black Lexus, I think, began honking and flashing his lights at me when I wasn't going fast enough and pushing the truck in front of me out of the way. He just couldn't stand driving less than 65mph in two feet of flash-flood LA River backup, so he passes me on the right and splashes a ton of spray on my car, blinding me. When my wipers shoveled off the water I could only see the top of his Lexus. The right side of the street was deep in water and his machine completely stalled as water rushed up over the wheels and most likely into his prize Lexus. As I passed in my lil' Honda Civic, I could see him pounding his steering-wheel.

This past week so many Publishers have sent books for me to review and interview their authors for my radio show... I don't know how I'm going to read them all. I've gotten bad looks from the Postal Worker who gave up hauling the books upstairs, so now he/she just throws them up and over the railings of the stairs. Nice.
