Had a Doctor appointment at 7AM this morning. It was freakin' cold here. I stopped off at the Coral Cafe and had eggs and a hamburger patty. Very good! I sat and read a new/old book I picked up at the Library about the writer Max Brand. He was amazing. He basically wrote one novel every three weeks! I can barely write this.

While at the Coral Cafe a music teacher was grading his class' papers as another man kept asking him if there were any Beatles questions on the test.

The Coral is great! It's really like a small town here in Burbank. Cowboys were walking in talking about taking care of the horses on the ranch. Aerospace workers talking about layoffs. Just a bunch of dudes calling waitresses, "Honey" and "Sweety", it was kinda quaint.

Last night I was eating at Frontier Wok reading yet another book about Lillian Gish and noticed a few people reading books by themselves. I guess it's that time of year where single people are going to start getting sad and lonely. Or maybe they'll just pick up the right book and read!

I received a post card from Hawaii. My friend Aaron found the coolest oldtime surfer card to send me. The old Hawaiian surf-dudes had the tallest boards. They must be twenty feet long! The photo shows these guys from probably the 60's surfing in front of Diamond Head.

I had fun with Aaron's dog and cat last night. I hope Aaron doesn't get all bent outa shape, but I've been spoiling them by buying some different kinds of food. They seem to love all the treats. They were at first sad that their daddy was gone away, but Uncle Jerry's been catering some good chow. Yea, I guess when you're sad food fills that empty feeling. Hence my constant eating at various diners. All low-carb of course.
